Fresh off the back of a 4-1 demolition by Tottenham Hotspur in their last Premier League outing, Manchester City once again find themselves in trouble this weekend against Newcastle United.
Aleksandar Mitrovic was the scorer for Newcastle, firing them ahead inside 20 minutes with his first goal since his summer arrival from Anderlecht. Dutchman Georginio Wijnaldum was the creator, skipping down the left wing before getting his cross to Mitrovic’s head on the second attempt.

It will be a remarkable result for Newcastle if they can hang on. Man City have won their last 11 Premier League games against the Magpies and their last five by an aggregate score of 17-0.
Newcastle have never won at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League era – though they did win there in the League Cup last season courtesy of goals from Mousa Sissoko and Rolando Aarons.
Since the goal, they have had chances to double their lead, but are playing a very open game and City are a constant menace on the counter attack with just five minutes to go until half-time.
