The Telegraph have published an in-depth study to show which Premier League teams were worst hit by injury problems in the 2014-15 season.
Arsenal and Manchester United fans certainly complained about injuries more than most, but were those two clubs the most affected? Both were in the top three – split by Everton.
United top the table, having suffered 55 individual injuries that took at least 10 days to heal.
Second-placed Everton picked up 45 ‘serious injuries’, while Arsenal had 42.
Poor old Arsenal – they can’t even win this league!
However, there is some good news for the Gunners – it appears that their issues are improving, because 25 of their injuries affected the first 19 league games of the season, compared to just 17 which blighted the second half of the campaign. Arsenal’s form also improved dramatically beyond the midway point. Coincidence? Probably not!
Liverpool and champions Chelsea are midtable on the injury list, coming ninth and 13th respectively.
The Reds had 33 injuries lasting at least 10 days to contend with, while Chelsea had 30 – many of which came courtesy of Diego Costa.
Below is the injury table in full…
