How the Blues’ new additions rate.
It has already been a busy summer of transfers for Chelsea as they look to improve on Jose Mourinho’s first season back at the club in 2013/14.
It was somewhat disappointing for the 51-year-old and the Blues as they finished with no silverware and third in the Premier League.
Owner Roman Abramovich has pledged plenty of funds to address this and here fanatix takes a look at the deals the club has completed and what they will mean for the West Londoners.
Cesc Fabregas – signed from Barcelona, £30m
Something of a coup for the club and a player who has vast experience, not only in the Champions League, but also in England having spent eight years with Arsenal.
The Gunners did have first refusal to re-sign Fabregas, although turned down the opportunity to bring back the Spaniard – not that it will stop the animosity towards him at the Emirates Stadium.
For what the 27-year-old brings to the team though there are few better players Mourinho could have signed this summer.
