1) Edinson Cavani – PSG
The Uruguayan forward joined PSG in the summer for a mammoth £57m, and despite being deployed in a slightly unnatural position, has been exceptional.
Because of the brilliant Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Cavani has mainly started from the right of a front three, and although he’s still managed to score 17 goals overall, he’ll no doubt be keen to move to his favoured central role.
His pedigree and talent is undeniable, although his price tag would likely have to break the £50m British transfer record Chelsea set when they signed Fernando Torres in 2011.
