Franck Ribery
The Frenchman said that if the winger was ever going to win the Ballon d’Or then 2014 was the best opportunity and the player is not wrong.
As Bayern destroyed all in their wake last campaign – including a 7-0 aggregate victory over Messi’s Barca in the Champions League semi-final – Ribery was always at the helm.
Although the 30-year-old doesn’t possess the almost freakish goal-scoring records of the little Argentinian and Ronaldo, there is no doubting the France international’s quality.
Ribery netted 11 goals and provided 23 assists last term, has 12 strikes and 11 assists already this time around and also helped the midfielder’s nation to the World Cup – but still doesn’t quite compare to the sensations from the Spanish top tier.
fanatix prediction: 3rd.
