Manchester City duo also among the best players of the Premier League this season.
As the Premier League season heads towards what looks to be an exciting conclusion there have been some outstanding individual performances this term.
So fanatix picks out the five likely candidates for the PFA Player of the Year award and the reasons why they should and shouldn’t win.
Daniel Sturridge – Liverpool
It’s easy to forget that when the Reds paid £12m to Chelsea for the striker back in January 2013 there were a few that thought it could be another poor signing by Brendan Rodgers.

Chance of winning: 5/10.
