Ander Herrera set a career-high in goals last season and looks like a permanent fixture at Old Trafford.
Man United have received significant interest in the availability of midfielder Ander Herrera, but not enough to trigger a transfer however.
According to the Metro, Man United haven’t received the anticipated bids from La Liga giants Barcelona or Valencia despite benching him for the majority of the season so far.
TalkSPORT reported that the Old Trafford outfit have no plans to sell the 26-year-old Spanish midfield ace even though Barcelona were believed to see Herrera as a replacement for Xavi.
Herrara was acquired by Man United on a £24 million transfer last season and played even better under Louis van Gaal in a limited role than he had in his previous five seasons split between Real Zaragoza and Atletic Bilbao.
Ander Herrera finished the 2014-15 season with a career-high 6 league goals in 26 appearances and a career-high 8 goals in 31 appearances – both appearance marks were his lowest since 2008.
