The 35-year-old has enjoyed yet another superb season in the Serie A, and Reds manager Brendan Rodgers reportedly views the Italy international as a replacement for outgoing skipper Steven Gerrard.
According to Metro, Liverpool are already in talks with Pirlo after he indicated he would leave the Serie A champions in the off-season.
Despite his advancing years, Pirlo has proven himself to still be one of the world’s best deep-lying midfielders after helping guide Juventus to another league title.
Pirlo’s side are also just 90 minutes away from a Champions League final meeting with Barcelona following its 2-1 first leg win over Real Madrid in Turin last week.
The Italian legend is believed to also have had interest from the Major Soccer League, but there’s no doubt he would be a massive addition to Rodgers’ side should he decide on a Premier League move.
