Andy Murray begins his 2013 Wimbledon campaign this evening with his opening match coming against Benjamin Becker of Germany.
The British number one is seeded in his highest ever position, at number 2 behind Novak Djokovic, but faces a tough draw.
Both Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal are on Murray’s side of the Wimbledon draw, with Djokovic managing to escape the rest of the proverbial ‘Big Four.’
Should Murray reach the quarter finals, he is expected to face Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, the man he beat in last year’s semi-final. He is then seeded to face either Federer or Nadal, before likely meeting Novak Djokovic in the final.
Benjamin Becker is his first test though, with the 32 year-old hard court specialist a danger with both his serve and forehand.
Murray ought to have enough in his locker though, and should win in straight sets.
