di Maria analysis: Just how good has the winger been so far?
“When I say I will return, I show people a video of Central and say ‘how can I not go back?’ I will always remember them, they will forever be present in my mind,” he told Argentine radio station Del Plata.
“They are the first team for me, and then they are followed by all the rest of my clubs.
“I have talked to Pocho (Ezequiel Lavezzi) and Masche (Javier Mascherano) about the possibility of us all going back to Argentina with Central, in the future.
“For everyone else, it’s a dream for them to come play in Europe, but for me, my dream is to go back to Argentina and play for Central.”
Although the comments don’t indicate anything too drastic, United fans will feel that in their club’s current predicament, employees on over £200k-per-week should be fully focussed on the task in hand!
