Di Maria struggled in his first season with Man United since signing a £59.7m transfer deal, as he only scored three goals in 27 Premier League appearances.
The former Real Madrid player has decided to stay with the Red Devils though, and he will look to put his forgettable second half behind him.
“I have just finished playing my first season for Manchester United,” Di Maria said to ESPN FC.
Di Maria was rumored to be headed to Paris Saint-Germain, who won the Ligue 1 championship.
The Argentine midfielder acknowledged the difficulty of adjusting to the Premier League, claiming that it is more physical than La Liga matches.
He has shown scoring potential for Real Madrid, as he scored 12 goals for them in the 2013-14 season in various matches such as the UEFA Champions League.
Him staying at Man United will be huge for the team, as they are looking to improve the midfielder position.
