Veteran forward Anthony Watmough will leave the Manly Sea Eagles and looks set to join the Parramatta Eels.
Watmough reportedly met with Eels coach Brad Arthur and other club officials today in regards to an early move to the Eels.
He joined the Sea Eagles back in 2002, and has played all 286 of his NRL games at the club.
“Anthony is a local junior, a two-time premiership winner and a life-member of the club. I’m disappointed to lose a quality player such as Anthony Watmough,” Sea Eagles coach Geoff Toovey said.
“He has been an integral part of the success here at Manly for many years.
“We wish him all the best for the future and thank him for his service to the Sea Eagles.”
Meanwhile, Manly confirmed the signings of Feleti Mateo, Willie Mason and Siosaia Vave, while club captain Jamie Lyon has re-signed until the end of 2016.
