In one of the most incredible turn of events in college football history, Ole Miss and Mississippi State find themselves in the top 4 in the AP top 25 poll this week. For the first time in history, both Mississippi teams defeated top 10 teams in the same week while hosting them. The futures of those two schools looks very bright this season – for the time being at least, more tests are yet to come.
Meanwhile, 5 teams in the top 10 lost on in Week 6 – Alabama, Oregon, Oklahoma, UCLA, Texas A&M – but only Alabama still finds itself in the top 10 after the brutal week. Needless to say, the entire AP poll ranking – and in turn all of college football – has been effectively turned on its head.
