However, the Patriots’ offseason has been marred by excessive media coverage due to the DeflateGate scandal, and the investigation has come to a close.
The Patriots’ three-time Super Bowl MVP was ruled to have likely played a role in and knowing about game balls being deflated in the AFC Championship.
After the release of the Ted Wells report, the Patriots received punishments for deflating game balls while Brady was given a four-game suspension.
The Patriots were also fined $1 million while losing their 2016 first-round pick and 2017 fourth-round pick.
Brady is already appealing his suspension, but his official appeal will have to wait as the league has delayed it.
The date has been set to June 23 though. The hearing will continue until June 25 if necessary.
