In a day filled with NFL roster cuts, Arizona Cardinals defensive end Darnell Dockett is the latest victim as he has just been released.

The team released him because he was due $6.8 million in compensation. He had torn his ACL, which forced him to sit out the entire 2014 season.
Dockett has been a key component to the Cardinals’ pass rush, coming up with 40.5 sacks in his 11-year career and is also known for being outspoken on his Twitter account.
The Cardinals are expected to possibly restructure his contract and re-sign him even though he has just been released.
Dockett’s release was announced on Twitter.
