While Johnson does have a license to carry in Florida, his arrest wasn’t for carrying, it was for open carrying – which is against the law in Florida.
In 2009, as a second year back with the Tennessee Titans, Johnson was the NFL Offensive Player of the Year after becoming just the sixth RB in NFL history to record 2,000 rushing yards in a season (2,006) and set an NFL record with 2,509 yards from scrimmage.
After six straight seasons with over 1,000 yards rushing, Johnson signed a two-year, $4 million contract with the Jets i 2014, but ran for a career-low 663 yards and one touchdown last season.
