Jack Wilshere – 8/10
With three assists and a goal in three matches, Jack Wilshere is one of the most in form players in the Premier League at present.
The England international needs to be wary when playing as one of the two deepest midfielders, as he likes to push up and press, occasionally leaving space behind.
With the ball though, Wilshere injects urgency and pace and penetration, and the 22 year-old was able to provide the lift the Gunners after a lethargic first half.
104 passes in the match illustrated just how involved in play Wilshere was throughout.
Mathieu Flamini – 7/10
Kept the ball well, and mopped up single handedly whenever Wilshere pushed forward.
Flamini’s positioning is amongst the best in his position in the world, and the Frenchman is in constant communication with the players around him to make sure they too are organised optimally.
Serge Gnabry – 7/10
An encouraging display from Serge Gnabry. As well as fine movement and skill, the German teenager has a remarkably cool head on his shoulders.
Gnabry consistently showed up in intelligent positions, and though his shooting was often wayward, his potential appears limitless.
Santi Cazorla – 9/10
Santi Cazorla has not been able to reach the high standards of last season this term, but against Fulham he was very close, scoring a brace.
The diminutive Spaniard started the move for his opener himself, cutting inside from the left before playing the ball to Giroud, who deftly flicked the ball to Wilshere, who pulled it back to Cazorla.
The fact that Cazorla had continued his run and was able to lash it in first time with his right foot was key in the goal, and his second strike from the edge of the area with his left was equally brilliant.
Given that Mesut Ozil has never played a season without a winter break, perhaps Cazorla could be granted a chance inside.
Mesut Ozil – 6/10
Mesut Ozil gave a disappointing performance in the first half, but improved in the second, supplying three key balls and 94 passes throughout the match.
Ozil isn’t always able to provide the cutting edge for Arsenal, but teams fear his quality enough that it leaves space for others in the Gunners team to exploit.
Olivier Giroud – 7/10
Once again, Olivier Giroud proved his value as focal point to the Arsenal attack – despite not scoring.
The France forward received a huge number of passes on the edge of the area, and brought in team-mates well, making a hugely meaningful contribution to Santi Cazorla’s first goal.
