Outstanding performance by the Gunners…
- 01 Szczesny – 6
Did everything he needed to with consummate ease, and it is looking less and less likely that Arsene Wenger will sign a big name keeper in January.
- 03 Sagna – 6
Quite afternoon for the Frenchman on his return from injury, but provided a solid attacking option down the right flank.
- 28 Gibbs – 7
Gibbs is so unlucky that England have Baines and Cole as left-backs, because Gibbs is good enough for international football. Another barnstorming display up the left.
- 04 Mertesacker – 6
Comfortable, untroubled afternoon for the giant German.
- 06 Koscielny – 7
Easy afternoon for the Frenchman, and had more of the ball than his partner Mertesacker.
- 20 Flamini (Ramsey – 37′ ) – 5 & 8
Flamini picked up an injury, but the Welshman came on and scored a wondergoal – making it nine goals already this season. Special talent.
- 10 Wilshere – 8
Finished off easily one of the best team moves in Premier League history, making it two goals in two games. Combined fantastically with his fellow midfielders.
- 08 Arteta – 7
Solid as per usual, and provided a great platform for Arsenal’s more attacking stars.
- 11 Özil – 9
Another mesmerisingly good performance from arguably the Premier League’s best player. Ozil bagged a brace, and was involved in everything Arsenal did that was good.
- 19 Cazorla (Rosicky – 59′ ) – 6 & 6
The attacking midfield partnership between Cazorla and Rosicky is going to be as good as anything in Europe. Tired in the second half, but showed flashed of his unique talent in the first-half.
- 12 Giroud (Bendtner – 78′ )
Unlucky not to get on the score-sheet, and his assist for Wilshere’s opener was a thing of beauty.
