Arsenal have agreed a £12m fee with Liverpool for the transfer of Danish centre-back Daniel Agger, who will now discuss personal terms with the club, according to CaughtOffside.
The Gunners are looking for new signings at the back after seeing Thomas Vermaelen leave for Barcelona, and look to have made Agger their first choice despite also being linked with Borussia Dortmund centre-back Mats Hummels.
Agger has been told he can leave Anfield this summer after holding talks with manager Brendan Rodgers, and Liverpool have accepted a £12m bid from their rivals that could see the 29-year-old move to the Emirates Stadium before the end of the summer.
Although the former Brondby man has no guarantees of first-team football at Arsenal, he is keen to try his luck elsewhere after falling out of favour at Liverpool, who spent £20m on signing Dejan Lovren from Southampton this summer.
