Medical planned for early next week.
Arsenal have agreed a deal to sign Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira, according to CaughtOffside.
The Gunners will pay a transfer fee of £23m for the 27-year-old, who will apparently put pen to paper on a four-year contract at the Emirates Stadium.
Khedira will represent Germany in Sunday night’s World Cup final against Argentina in Brazil.
He is then expected to travel to London to complete a medical early next week.
Arsenal appear to have seen off competition from rivals Chelsea to secure the signature of Khedira, whose current Real contract is due to expire in just under 12 months.
Khedira is likely to become the fifth German member of Arsenal’s first-team squad, joining Mesut Ozil, Lukas Podolski, Per Mertesacker and Serge Gnabry.
Sunday’s clash with Argentina will see Khedira win his 52nd senior international cap.
He was part of the Germany side that finished third at the World Cup in South Africa four years ago.
