Arsenal ready to sell striker to Eintracht Frankfurt, but are awaiting a decision from their forward on the move.
Arsenal and Eintracht Frankfurt have come to an agreement over the sale of striker Nicklas Bendtner, according to Danish publication EkstraBladet, and it is now up to the player to decide on the move.
Bendtner spent the past season on loan at Serie A side Juventus, where he won the Scudetto title, but he failed to impress.
Indeed, the Denmark international has not scored a league goal for any team for 14 months, which the player himself would attempt to justify by highlighting his lack of playing time in Turin – he started just twice and made eight substitute appearances for Juve all season.
However, such a lack of goals and playing time is what has likely resulted in Bendtner being linked with mid-table clubs such as Eintracht Frankfurt rather than title challengers like Juventus.
Having previously declared his intention to become the best player in the world, Bendtner must now decide whether he is willing to drop to UEFA Europa League football with the Bundesliga side.
