Arsenal close to agreeing future deal with La Liga side Real Betis to regularly send players on loan.
Arsenal are in negotiations with La Liga club Real Betis for a long term deal to help them develop their players, according to Spanish newspaper Estadio Deportivo.
The Gunners currently have Costa Rica international striker Joel Campbell on loan at Estadio Benito Villamarin, and because they are happy with the way that the 21 year-old is progressing, they are considering sending more players to Andalusia.
Campbell has been afforded 17 starts in La Liga for Real Betis this season, and faced the likes of FC Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, and facing such illustrious opposition has undoubtedly been an invaluable experience for the 20 year-old.
Estadio Deportivo claim that Campbell is set to move to Betis again next season, and that others will follow.
Manager Pepe Mel will travel with club president Miguel Guillen to London to sign the arrangement in the near future, and that Arsene Wenger and his staff will put together a list of additional players they feel could also benefit from spending time with the La Liga club.
Though Arsenal possess an impressive academy and coaching facilities, it is hugely difficult for a young player to break into the first team at Emirates Stadium.
Having a feeder club in a high quality division might make the step up from youth to first team player an easier transition.
