Arsenal are already in transfer talks to bring players to Emirates Stadium and fans can expect a huge summer, says Gunners chief executive Ivan Gazidis.
Arsenal’s Chief Executive Ivan Gazidis has hinted at a successful transfer ridden summer for the Gunners’ fans as he revealed that the club are already involved in intense transfer talks.
The club’s fans are anxious about their team’s transfer ambitions after their boss Arsene Wenger passed on the chance re-sign former star Cesc Fabregas for a relatively reasonable price of £27 million, but Gazidis assures the club’s faithful that the French boss is not afraid to spend big.
Gazidis also went on to praise the legacy that Wenger has built up at the North London club over the years and insists that the 64-year old is irreplaceable at Arsenal.
Wenger has indeed been synonymous with Arsenal ever since he joined them in 1996, but some fans are growing increasingly frustrated at the boss delaying on transfers and missing out on some key additions in past windows.
Gazidis though continues to back the veteran manager, and reaffirms that the Frenchman knows what he is doing. The Arsenal Chief Executive was quoted saying in the Daily Star, “Transfers are obviously important and we are deep in conversations already.
“I am confident we will add what we need this summer.
“The manager is not scared to spend, has the experience, but as always will have to juggle a set budget. We are all really pleased with securing Champions League qualification again. Last season was a great experience for players to win the FA Cup and now we want more.”
