Arsenal are among a number of clubs being linked with a move for Manchester City midfielder James Milner, who wants more regular first-team football, according to the Manchester Evening News.
Liverpool, Everton, Aston Villa and Sunderland are also mentioned as possible admirers of the England international, who has not really lived up to expectations at the Etihad Stadium since moving to the club from Villa Park in 2010.
The 28-year-old has ten goals in just over 100 appearances for City, and has earned a reputation for being a versatile, hard-working player ideally brought on as a substitute to help close a game out, rather than being the star attacker he had been tipped to be during his days as a youngster.
Arsenal are known to be in the market for some new signings in midfield this summer, and could look to Milner due to his ability to play either centrally or out wide, while he could opt to join former City team-mate Gareth Barry if he decides to move to Everton.
Milner was part of England’s World Cup squad as they crashed out of the group stage in Brazil this summer.
