London duo may pounce as Fiorentina set Juve deal deadline.
Juventus have until 15 July to sign Arsenal target Stevan Jovetic from Fiorentina, according to Football Italia.
The Gunners and Scudetto winners have both been linked with a summer move for the Montenegrin striker, while new Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is also said to admire Jovetic.
Juve and the Viola do not share a friendly relationship and the Serie A champions reportedly consider the Tuscan club’s £25.5m valuation excessive.
The Old Lady are understood to be willing to play the waiting game in the hope that Fiorentina will lower their asking-price but the Viola do not want the deal to drag on into late August and have imposed a deadline of the middle of next month for Juve to pay-up.
Both Arsenal and Chelsea could benefit from the stand-off, particularly if Jovetic remains unsold at the beginning of August.
The 23-year-old is reportedly desperate to leave the Stadio Artemio Franchi this summer for a ‘new experience’.
While Jovetic is understood to be keen to remain in Italy, Fiorentina would prefer not to sell the striker to a Serie A rival.
