Bad news for Manchester United as PSG want Strootman.
Italian publication La Repubblica says that the 33-year-old has failed to settle in Rome and is considering a January switch from Serie A and to MLS.
Both Orlando City and Toronto FC have shown interest in the Englishman and Cole could make his expected move to North America a lot earlier than expected.
When it became clear the defender would not be offered a new deal at Stamford Bridge last season and would leave in the summer of 2014, many top sides were linked with his signature.
In the end Cole chose to, somewhat surprisingly, join Roma and stated that there were not more English players playing abroad because they were too scared to do so.
The full-back has since made just one appearance for his new side and it seems that despite all of his talk he too cannot cut it away from the Premier League.
