Trio of top-flight suitors had been keen on landing the youngster for next season.
Manchester City, Arsenal, and Chelsea target Julian Draxler is now staying with Bundesliga giants Schalke 04 this summer after all, reports the Daily Star.
The exciting young Germany international has been at Schalke for his whole career to date, with the highly rated 19-year-old having already featured in 109 matches in all competitions for the German outfit since making his debut for the club in the 2010-11 campaign, scoring 21 goals in the process, including 13 strikes in his 75 league outings.
As a result, a plethora of big-name Premier League suitors have been keeping close tabs on the player for some time now with a view to hopefully being able to persuade Draxler to move to the English top flight when the summer transfer window reopened at the start of this month.
Those hopes, however, have now been dashed after Schalke general manager Horst Heldt told German newspaper BILD: “If there are further transfer enquiries for Julian Draxler, I will be fair to those clubs and reject them in a polite way.
“It is not guaranteed that he will be on the move next summer but we are experienced enough to know that there will be further enquiries in the years to come.”
