Premier League duo likely to fight it out for the free transfer signing of Adrien Rabiot.
Arsenal and Chelsea look set to go head-to-head for the signing of classy French midfielder Adrien Rabiot from Paris Saint Germain on a free transfer next summer, report the Express, after the Ligue 1 champions refused to meet the 19 year-old exorbitant wage demands.

Both clubs were strongly linked with a move for Rabiot during the summer window, along with AS Roma, but PSG chose to keep hold of the player in the hope of tying him down to a new deal at the Parc des Princes – but the prospect of that now looks remote due to Rabiot’s huge contract demands.
The report suggests that Rabiot is demanding a £4 million per package, plus generous goal and appearance bonuses, requests which have been balked at in the boardroom at the Parc des Princes.
This is likely to pave the way for Arsenal and Chelsea to try and lure Rabiot with the best package when his deal runs out next summer – with the lack of a transfer fee likely to allow them to push out the boat somewhat on wages.
