Atletico Madrid wants Santi Cazorla, Fernando Torres and Javier Hernandez.
Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United are home to Spanish champions Atletico Madrid’s top transfer targets, reports the Daily Star.
Los Rojiblancos are plotting a triple raid on the Premier League for the likes of Fernando Torres, Santi Cazorla and Javier Hernandez, in a bid to bolster their squad significantly before the season starts.
While Torres and Hernandez could be sold without much hesitation by Chelsea and Manchester United respectively, Arsenal’s Cazorla could be a hard man to acquire after the 29-year old recently pledged his future to the Gunners despite knowing about interest from Atletico.
Torres and Hernandez are likely to be benched for most of the season if they stay at their current clubs, and thus could push for a move to a big club like Atleti.
Torres’ £175,000 per week wages though have continually put off Atletico, while Hernandez could well be available on a cut price deal since he wants out of Old Trafford.
The Spanish champions have plenty of money to spend to land their targets, owing to the sale of Diego Costa and Filipe Luis to Chelsea, but it will be interesting to see how many of the trio they will actually end up landing.
