The PFA Team Of The Year was announced at a gala last night, with the XI spearheaded by Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge of Liverpool. Here are eleven players unfortunate to miss out after superb seasons.
David Marshall (Cardiff City)
Despite only having kept seven clean sheets all season, David Marshall has made comfortably the most saves in the Premier League with 120 in his 34 matches.
That total is far ahead of Sunderland’s Vito Mannone and Tim Howard of Everton with 94 and 90 respectively.
Despite an incredibly porous defence, Marshall has shown he can acquit himself well in top flight football.
