With Bacary Sagna having departed for Manchester City, one man who are Arsenal are believed to be considering turning to is Toulouse’s Ivory Coast international right back Serge Aurier. Sagna himself was signed as a relative unknown from Ligue 1 club Auxerre, with Wenger possibly looking to emulate his success there with the signing of Aurier, a player who has a vast amount of senior experience despite only being 21 years of age. Aurier came through the much-vaunted youth system at Lens before moving on to Toulouse, with both clubs having utilised his pace and strength to good effect on the right flank.
