Sociedad have named their price for Griezmann.
Real Sociedad have told interested parties Arsenal and Chelsea that it will cost £25m if they want to sign forward Antoine Griezmann this summer, according to the Daily Express.
The 23-year-old impressed last term, scoring 20 goals in all competitions, including 16 in 35 appearances in La Liga as Sociedad finished seventh.
This form has attracted plenty of interest from across Europe, with Paris Saint-German also understood to be in the hunt for the France international.
Gunners manager Arsene Wenger is a keen admirer of Griezmann and has openly admitted in the past that the north Londoners would like to sign the Frenchman, as well as comparing the attacker to club legend Robert Pires.
However, they will face strong competition from the Blues and PSG and they do not have the financial strength of those two big players in the transfer market.
Griezmann is currently away with the French national team preparing for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, forcing his way into Didier Deschamps’ squad due to last term’s performances.
To date the winger has just two caps for the nation, but as his reputation grows that number is sure to follow suit and there is potential for the Sociedad star to become one of the leading lights in European football.
Griezmann generally operates from the left flank, despite being right-footed, and likes to cut inside and shoot at goal.
The Frenchman can also play centrally though and as Wenger has done in the past with Thierry Henry and Robin van Persie, may look to convert the attacking midfielder to a striker.
The west Londoners meanwhile see Griezmann as the ideal replacement for Eden Hazard should the Belgian be tempted elsewhere this summer.
