The midfielder heaps praise on the South Americans after a 0-2 defeat.
England stuttered in their World Cup preparation on Friday as the nation lost 0-2 at home to Chile – a side Arsenal star Jack Wilshere has likened to Barcelona.
Two goals from Barca ace Alexis Sanchez confounded the Three Lions to defeat and Wilshere has heaped praise on the South Americans.
“I think the last time I played against a team like that was Barcelona, the way they keep the ball, the way they play out from the back and when they don’t have the ball they press, they press high and made it difficult for us,” the 21-year-old was quoted by Goal.
The English face their next test on Tuesday when one of the tournament favourites Germany come to Wembley.
It will be difficult and with a host of injuries for the home side, many are predicting it could be two defeats in a week for Roy Hodgson’s side.
These friendlies have given the manager a chance to experiment with new players – such as Celtic’s Fraser Forster and Southampton duo Adam Lallana and Jay Rodriguez.
However, as a stalwart in the side despite being so relatively young, Wilshere should be confident of a place on the plane to Brazil next summer, having earned 13 caps for the nation to date.
The Englishman has also been enjoying a good start to the season with the Gunners, as the north London team top the Premier League currently and look strong in the Champions League.
France also have problems as Giroud says he’s prepared to ‘die on the pitch.’
