Saint Etienne striker dreaming of Real Madrid.
Arsenal and Liverpool target Pierre Emerick Aubameyang has hinted that he will leave Saint Etieene this summer but says he wants to secure a dream move to Real Madrid.
The Gabon international has bagged 19 goals in 35 Ligue 1 games this term, helping Saint Etienne to the cusp of European qualification.
The 23-year-old has attracted interest from the likes of Inter Milan, PSG, Fiorentina and Roma, while Premier League outfits Newcastle and Tottenham are also said to be monitoring the talented forward.
But it is Arsenal and Liverpool who are understood to be leading the race to sign £13m-rated Aubameyang, even though the player has admitted that his dream destination is the Bernabeu.
“I cannot fail with my decision, whatever I decide to do will not be a mistake,” the striker is quoted as saying by talkSPORT.
“The reflection will be long and I want to negotiate with the club that offers the best for me in every way.
“My dream is to one day play for Real Madrid more than anything because my mother is Spanish.”
Aubameyang has a contract with the French club until 2016.
Arsenal are in need of a new striker this summer, with boss Arsene Wenger having failed to adequately replace Robin van Persie, who joined Manchester United in August 2011.
Liverpool, meanwhile, need to add additional firepower to their squad before next season and face the possibility of losing key man Luis Suarez over the summer.
