Premier League duo go shoulder to shoulder for Andre-Pierre Gignac.
Premier League rivals Arsenal and Liverpool are set for a transfer battle this January that could determine which one of them is able to secure a place in the Champions League, with Fichajes.net reporting that the duo are both hoping to capture the bargain signing of Marseille striker Andre-Pierre Gignac.

Gignac is the top scorer in Ligue 1 so far this season and has helped to fire Marcelo Bielsa’s Marseille side to the top of the French top flight, although recent defeats to Lyon and Paris Saint Germain have blown the title race wide open.
With Gignac amongst a host of Stade Velodrome stars out of contract at the end of the season, however, both Arsenal and Liverpool could be eyeing up the opportunity to secure a top class striker on a cheap deal.
