Arsenal and Manchester City are reportedly poised to compete for the signature of one of France’s most talented teenagers.
The Daily Star say that Manchester United were leading the transfer race for 16-year-old Valenciennes defensive starlet Dayot Upamecano.

United apparently offered £323,000, only to be told no by Valenciennes, who want closer to £500,000 plus add-ons.
Ridiculously, this is said to have put United off, leaving Arsenal and City as the main contenders for the youngster’s signature.
Upamecano has played for France at Under-16 and Under-17 level, mainly at centre-half.
