Arsenal and Man United have been dealt a blow in their reported pursuit of Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain after he reported back for pre-season training early.
Higuain had been given an extended summer break after his participation in the Copa America, particularly given that Argentina made it through to the Final.

However, he has come back a week early and joined up with new coach Maurizio Sarri and his teammates ahead of the new season.
Given that the likes of the Gunners and United had been linked with a move, this will come as a real blow to their chances as it appears as though the Argentinian international will stay in Naples.
It is also reported that club president Aurelio De Laurentiis has discussed a contract extension with the 27-year-old’s family, according to Football Italia.
The Partenopei will not be participating in the Champions League this season, but Higuain is set to help them make an immediate return given his latest indication of being committed to the club.
Meanwhile, Man City have also been linked with the former Real Madrid star, particularly given that Edin Dzeko may follow Stevan Jovetic out of the exit door at the Etihad this summer.
