Arsenal are ready to battle Premier League rivals Manchester United for the January signing of 18 year-old midfielder Teddy Bishop, report the Mirror, but they may have to move quickly to secure the teenager as interest in Bishop intensifies.

Bishop broke into the Portman Road first team at the start of this season and was quickly tied down to a long term contract by the Championship club, but his stock has continued to rise as the Tractor Boys have risen to the top of the second tier under Mick McCarthy.
The former Wolves and Sunderland manager has admitted that interest in his star assets is intensifying, however – with Bishop attracting as much interest from bigger clubs as prodigious right back Tyrone Mings.
