Reus missed out on the 2014 FIFA World Cup after suffering an injury in a pre-tournament friendly victory over Armenia, heartbreakingly missing out on Joachim Low’s side’s World Cup triumph, but he returned to action with Borussia Dortmund with a flourish, finding the net against Augsburg.
With Manchester City set to be able to spend more next summer under financial fair play restrictions, Manuel Pellegrini’s men look poised to enter the race for Reus, with Arsenal having been long term admirers of the dynamic attacking talent.
