Top-flight duo are keen on bringing Spaniard back to England for the next campaign.
Premier League giants Arsenal and Manchester United are both said to be monitoring Cesc Fabregas’s current situation at FC Barcelona following news that the skilful midfield player is set for showdown talks with the Spanish giants next week, says the Mail on Sunday.
The coveted Spain international has only been at Camp Nou for just the two seasons now, having signed for the Catalans for a fee that could rise to as much as 34 million euros in August 2011.
And in his first two campaigns in Spain, the 26-year-old has racked up some highly impressive numbers, registering 19 goals and 21 assists in just 59 Liga contests, while overall the player has also managed to record 28 goals and 32 assists in only 95 matches in all competitions for the club.
However, rumours have been rife ever since head coach Tito Vilanova replaced Pep Guardiola in the Barca hot seat last summer that Fabregas was unhappy in Spain and wanted a return to the Premier League.
Consequently, both his former club Arsenal and champions United are ready to swoop should the player opt to depart Barcelona this summer.
