The Germany international has a release clause written into his contract of £19.8m, which becomes active next summer and as a result several of Europe’s best sides are weighing up the possibility of a bid for Reus.
Yet despite the fact the 25-year-old’s next move is constantly under scrutiny, the player himself seems to be fairly relaxed about what the future holds for him.
“At the moment there are a lot of people talking about my future. There is a lot of speculation and a lot is being written,” Reus was quoted by the Mirror.
“So I would like to take this opportunity to say that other people are thinking more about my future than me.”
Reus has shot to great prominence over the past 12 months with his performances for Dortmund and is now considered to be among the best players in world football.
With Jurgen Klopp’s men currently struggling in the Bundesliga and languishing in the bottom half of the table, the likeliness of the German leaving the Signal Iduna Park in the near future is increasing every day.
