Portuguese champions or Ukrainian outfit Shakhtar are possibilities for Bernard.
Porto look set to win the race for Arsenal and Tottenham target Bernard, according to the Brazil international’s agent.
The 20-year-old playmaker is widely believed to have played his last match for Atletico Mineiro after guiding the club to victory in the Copa Libertadores on Wednesday night.
The Selecao star was left out of the squad for Sunday’s match against Cruzeiro, amid speculation that a move to Europe was imminent.
While Tottenham are believed to be the only club to have tabled a formal bid for Bernard, Arsenal have been widely linked with youngster and French daily L’Equipe claimed on Monday that the player was due to have a medical at the Emirates Stadium at the end of this week.
Although Gunners boss Arsene Wenger denied the report, the Frenchman is thought to have sent a scout to watch the wing-forward in action on Wednesday, where he grabbed a crucial assist as Atletico won 2-0 on the night.
However, Bernard’s agent has now reportedly said that Portuguese champions Porto are leading the race for his client, while a move to Ukraine with Shakhtar Donetsk is also a possibility.
“Bernard will be signing for Porto or Shakhtar. There’s a huge possibility,” Adrian Spadoto told Portuguese source Maisfutebol.
“I think Bernard is signing for Porto, let’s wait until Monday or Tuesday for concrete news.”
