The French enforcer is heavily linked with Tottenham and Arsenal.
Southampton’s 24-year-old midfielder and Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur target Morgan Schneiderlin has expressed his frustration at the Saints’ hierarchy on twitter.
6 years of an amazing journey #saintsfc DESTROYED in 1 hour !!!
— Morgan Schneiderlin (@SchneiderlinMo4) July 29, 2014
The club have lost several of their high profile players to top clubs within the Premier League this season, and have been playing hardball of late to stop Schneiderlin from leaving as well.
The outburst from the Frenchman comes after chairman Ralph Krueger publicly stated the midfielder and Jay Rodriguez would not be sold.
“Specifically to Rodriguez and Schneiderlin, they will not be going anywhere,” Krueger was quoted by the Mirror.
“We see them as part of a core and the core we’ve got right now and in place is a core that is where Ronald [Koeman] would like to go and they a part of that core.
“Any reports that Rodriguez or Schneiderlin are leaving or that we are in engaged in transfer conversations are totally off the mark. They will not be sold.”
The likes of Luke Shaw, Adam Lallana, Rickie Lambert, Dejan Lovren and Calum Chambers have all been granted moves away from the club to bigger clubs in Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal.
Among the other top performers for Southampton last season are Schneiderlin and Jay Rodriguez, who have been linked extensively with Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool in recent months.
This public tug-of-war could end badly for the Saints yet again as Schneiderlin looks like he could force a move away from the club this summer.
However, their’ stubbornness cannot be underestimated as they could potentially block all approaches towards their midfielder in a bid to protect the remainder of their squad before the start of the new season.
