Arsenal are on the verge of signing wonderkid as confirmed by player

Charlton’s Ajayi close to move to the Emirates Stadium.

Charlton Athletic youngster Semi Ajayi confirms that the defender is close to a move to Arsenal after a successful spell at the club on trial.

The 19-year-old spent time with the Gunners earlier on the year, impressing in a under-21s match with Blackburn Rovers in which Ajayi scored and helped the side to a 3-0 victory.

Now it seems the north London club are prepared to give the teenager a permanent deal at the Emirates Stadium and make the centre-back a part of Arsene Wenger’s sqaud.

So far the Englishman has played two under-21 matches for the side and it seems Wenger and the Frenchman’s staff have been sufficiently impressed to snap up the young talent.
