The Bundesliga side have made a woeful start to the domestic season, and are currently struggling down near the foot of the table. This has prompted a number of high profile players to be linked with moves away from the Westfalenstadion, with the Armenian looking likely to be one of the biggest exits.
Mkhitaryan joined Dortmund in 2013, signing him from Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk. He has been unable to find any kind of form this season however, and is thought to be looking for a way out of the club.
Arsenal are not the only club interested in his signature however, with Liverpool also thought to be chasing the £18m rated star.
Wenger’s top priorities this January will naturally be a defender and a defensive midfielder, but if Mkhitaryan is available at the right price then he may not be able to turn down a deal.
