Arsenal have reportedly made contact with Real Madrid star Karim Benzema over a possible summer move to the Emirates, according to reports.
The Gunners are understood to be extremely keen in the French international, and Spanish transfer insider and El Confidencial journalist Kike Marin says Arsene Wenger made it known to Benzema he wanted him in the Premier League next season.

According to Metro, Benzema is keen to remain at Real Madrid but his future could depend on new manager Rafael Benitez.
The report suggests Benitez is considering playing Cristiano Ronaldo as a forward, meaning the former £46m-rated striker would drop to the bench and almost certainly see decreased playing time.
While the deal may not be completed before the beginning of the Premier League season, Benzema could become an August signing should he decide to exit the Bernabeu due to a lack of first team action.
