Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger says that his team could sign quality players in January if they become available.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says that he is happy with his squad, but could still consider making some signings in the January transfer window.
The veteran French coach suggested that should a great player become available in the January market – much as Mesut Ozil found himself up for grabs in the summer, with Real Madrid needing to balance the books after the Gareth Bale deal – the Gunners could yet swoop for a quality player.
“We have a squad that, number and quality-wise, is very, very good,” said Wenger to the official Arsenal website.
“We are not desperate now [to sign anyone].
“I think it’s important, when you know who is out injured now, that they will come back in November and the beginning of December. Then you have a really massive squad. [But] if there is a good opportunity, why not?”
