Arsenal striker Alexis Sanchez will return from his extended break with the team in time for the Premier League following his Copa America performance.
Arsenal News on Twitter reported that Gunners boss Arsene Wenger confirmed that Sanchez would return on Monday, August 3rd – just in time for the start of the 2015-16 Premier League regular season. Sanchez has been given several extra weeks of rest following a lengthy performance in the 2015 Copa America tournament.

Sanchez, who led Arsenal with 16 league goals and 25 overall goals last season, played in all six games for Chile – the 2015 Copa America host nation – and led his country to its first ever Championship title after beating Argentina in a 4-1 shootout following a 0-0 draw. The Arsenal superstar kicked the game-sealing field goal to clinch Chile’s win.
