Wenger speaks about rumoured interest in World Cup star.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger spoke today about speculation surrounding the club’s interest in Porto and Colombia starlet Juan Fernando Quintero.
Speaking at a press conference before tomorrow’s Emirates Cup pre-season tournament, the Gunners boss moved to deny rumours that the club were closing in on a deal for the immensely talented 21-year-old.
Widely hailed as the next Lionel Messi, Quintero is one of South America’s most highly rated talents, and impressed for Colombia at this summer’s World Cup, though he does not look like being on the move this summer.
Wenger rules out move for Quintero. “That is wrong,” he says http://t.co/GFNaNzGOGy #EmiratesCup
