Arsenal could be putting out a very different starting XI this evening, after the Daily Mail reported that Arsene Wenger is considering dropping three of his regular players.
The Gunners were battered 6-0 by Chelsea this weekend, and Wenger is apparently furious with his side’s abject performance.
As a result, he could cut Wojciech Szczesny, Mikel Arteta and Olivier Giroud from the side to face Swansea tonight.
The Polish stopper let in one very soft goal versus the Blues, while Arteta was overrun in midfield, and Giroud hasn’t scored a league goal for three matches.
If the reports are correct, Lukas Fabianski will start in goal, Yaya Sanogo will play up top, while Mathieu Flamini will be deployed in the anchoring midfield role.
If Arsenal fail to pick up a win tonight, then their participation in the title race is probably over.
